This document provides information about the modules. It will familiarise participants with the content to be covered and provide an insight into the role of the permanent impairment assessor, methods of assessment & definitions.
PowerPoint slides
The PowerPoint slides discuss the particulars of each module and the methodology to be used. They follow the pattern of an introduction, assessment steps and methodology, and case studies to be used as examples. Emphasis should be placed on the points where the Guidelines modify the American Medical Association Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment Fourth Edition (AMA4). The case studies in the slide presentation demonstrate the practical application of the methods of assessment of permanent impairment in the Guidelines and AMA4.
Case Studies
A number of case studies will be provided for participant self-study.
Assessment Task
The competency-based assessment is to be completed in the participant's own time after enrolment into the training module. The assessment task is available in the Learning Management System. The participant will receive instructions about how to access the platform after booking into the specific module. The assessment task must be downloaded, completed and submitted for marking through the Learning Management System. The assessment must be submitted for marking within four weeks of registration for the training. Assessments will be marked within ten business days from the day they were received.
